How frequently should the evolution of culture be assessed?

This is a great question as many organizations rely solely on an annual engagement survey to assess employee satisfaction and other areas of interest. Not to knock this effort but relying on a once-a-year assessment of organizational culture is insufficient.
This does not mean more frequent comprehensive engagement surveys. It means more frequent and impromptu “check-ins”. It could be at a regular group meeting and /or impromptu brief poll to assess targeted areas and organizational segments of interest.
