The ability to sustain requires both tactics to guard and protect as well as insight into where you are on your journey. The provision of a series of learning programs around productive tactics and incredibly helpful habits build internal capability. Couple this capability with our web-based tool, Culture Monitor™ that can poll staff with quick 5 minute assessments. The combination will prevent any back sliding and ensure a continuously clear lens. The two approaches are:

Hiring for Fit

Populating the SG™ with baseline information of critical factors is based on FIBS™. FIBS was originally created as a Career Management Tool, an acronym standing for Factors  Impacting Basic Satisfaction, by GH Smith & Associates developed in 1984.

This initial instrument was focused on collapsing the little white lies or “fibs” typically used to justify career-related decisions. These fibs caused distortion with career-focused decision making.  The Suitability Gaugehelps the Job Seeker to disrupt those “fibs” as they self-evaluate and create a clearer picture for what they should be looking for in their employment journey.

This self reflection tool empowers individuals to understand their own personal values and how it can impact their career. It also allows Job Seekers to compare potential employers on how they might fit the Job Seekers’ personal operating style/culture. The “Suitability Gauge” helps job seekers uncover their own personal values to see if they align with companies they are looking at as a potential employer.

Populii Shape provides the knowledge and skills you need to define culture, how it influences outcomes and how you can begin to define an optimal culture.

Shape has two components:

  1. Deconstructing Culture
  2. Engineering Culture

Deconstructing Culture –

Create a consistent understanding of the mechanics behind culture and its value to your organization. 

It’s hard to build anything unless everyone has a common understanding of what is being built. This program can be shared with anyone in your organization – in fact we recommend it! 
This program is the starting point to engage your entire organization in evolving your culture, ensuring everyone understands:  

  • The mechanics of culture
  • The impact of culture – both positive and negative
  • The power of culture – both positive and negative
  • The participation of all employees in the journey.

Engineering Culture –

Develop the skills needed to embark on a journey of discovery and construct a blueprint for your organization’s optimal culture.  
We focus on 4 distinct skills you will ladder together:  

 Skill 1 – Get Stakeholders Ready

  • You can’t evolve culture on your own. You need to recognize the impacts across the organization and gather support at the same time. 
  • This is not the same as creating a project team, shaping culture is an on-going engagement; learn who to engage and how to keep them engaged.

Skill 2 – Craft a relatable values-based culture 

  • Culture must always be rooted in the personal values that are represented within your organization.
  • This might seem daunting, but identifying the components of a healthy culture will show you how you can transition values along with your culture.

Skill 3 – Align organizational realities with culture 

  • Your optimal culture must be rooted in day-to-day realities.
  • Identifying the day-to-day practices you rely on to get things done, will begin to reveal a competency framework and how it impacts culture.

Skill 4 – Make culture shaping personal

  • Your optimal culture must be seen through the lens of employees who each have their own set of habits. 
  • Identifying and proposing a common set of culture shaping practices that could be adopted as individual habits will expedite the journey towards an optimal culture.
